Offset printing
At our printing house, the technological processes of pre-press, printing and post-press are carried out with German-made Heidelberg (Heidelberger Druckmaschinen AG) machines. The company offers equipment that is reliable and highly-valued on the international market. The use of single-type machinery for different production processes enables creating a congenerous software platform to perform all the operations. This ensures the integrity in data transmission from one process to another and, therefore, higher quality of prints.
Do you know the meaning of “we print up to B1 format” expression in printing house language?
At DRUKA printing house, bearing in mind the print machine Heidelberg SM 102-4 P+L, we explain it in the following way:
- We print using a four-colour B1 (72 x 102 cm) format press.
- One quire contains, e.g. 16 A4 format pages.
- Capacity of the machine reaches up to 13.000 prints per hour.
- In a single operation we can print in 2 + 2 colours.
- The machine has an aqueous varnish section.
How does it benefit the client?
- Big volume and large circulation publications can be printed fast.
- We print posters, maps, and other large-format publications.
- Varnish gives the print a glossy and resistant finish.
- Varnished prints dry faster, thus the post-press work can be started immediately afterwards. Production time is shorter.
- We use eco-friendly water-based varnishes.
